Q. Can I reorder checks online?

A. North Salem State Bank has partnered with Deluxe to safely and conveniently provide online check reordering at http://www.deluxe.com. To reorder checks you will need your routing/transit number, account number and the starting number of your next check. Check orders will be sent to the mailing address on your account and a charge for the order will appear on your account. If there are any changes to your check order, if it has been longer than 2 years since your last check order, or if this is the first time you are ordering checks with North Salem State Bank, please visit one of our North Salem State Bank offices complete your order.  NOTE: If you receive your checks for free from NSSB, please visit one of our locations to reorder your checks as Deluxe will charge your account if you order your checks online.


 

 

Q. Why was I assessed an ATM fee?

A. North Salem State Bank offers its customers free usage of North Salem State Bank ATMs. Your NSSB checking account may be subject to charges if you use an ATM elsewhere. ATMs at banks other than NSSB are considered foreign ATMs. Some NSSB checking accounts offer a number of free foreign ATM transactions per month, however a charge will be assessed for each additional foreign ATM transaction above the monthly limit. This service charge is in addition to any fees assessed by the financial institution operating the machine. You may also be charged a fee for a balance inquiry even if you do not complete a funds transfer. Q. How do I change my address and/or phone number?

A. You can update your address and phone number at any of our locations or by printing out a Change of Address form and mailing it to North Salem State Bank, P.O. Box 97, North Salem, IN 46165.


 

 

Q. What types of overdraft protection does North Salem State Bank offer? How can I set up overdraft protection on my checking account? 

 A. North Salem State Bank offers two types of overdraft protection for a checking account. Please call 765-676-5100 or visit one of our North Salem State Bank offices for more information.

Q. How can I add payees for bill payment?  

A. Log on to the North Salem State Bank Online Banking and Bill Payment system and select the Make Payments tab, and then click on Manage Payees and then Add Payee. You can choose payees from a list of common payees that have been included for your area, such as the local utility, phone and water companies. (If you are a current user of North Salem State Bank Bill Payment, your existing payees will be listed.) Or you can add your personal payees (friends, relatives, one-time bills), for one-time or repeating payments. For details, please visit our Online Banking Help page.


 

 

Q. How can I edit or delete a payee?

A. Log on to the North Salem State Bank Online Banking and Bill Payment system and select the Make Payments tab, and then click on Manage Payees. To edit or delete your personal payees, click on a payee name or the Edit or Delete icon. Changes you make to existing payees will immediately affect pending and future payments to that payee. Q. How can I cancel or modify a scheduled bill payment?

A. Log on to the North Salem State Bank Online Banking and Bill Payment system and select the Make Payments tab. You can edit or delete a pending payment at any time while the edit or delete buttons are visible for the pending payment. If you accidentally hit the Delete button, you will still have a chance to cancel the action before the payment is deleted. After you have canceled a payment, you can reschedule a payment for that payee. For details, please visit our Online Banking Help page.


 

 

Q. Why does the Online Banking logon page no longer remember my Access ID and password?

A. Your browser is utilizing an autocomplete feature to save and automatically remember your ID and password, which works on Web pages you have previously accessed. When we published a new logon page, the browser did not have a previous entry to remember. Please key in your access ID and password each time you log on to ensure the highest level of security. If you have forgotten your password or have been locked out of your account, please call 765-676-5100.


 

 

Q. When I enter Online Banking, the secure lock indicator disappears or I receive an alert that the site is not secure. Am I in a secure session?

A. Microsoft Internet Explorer has identified this as an issue with certain browser versions. You are still in a secure session; to verify, right click inside the page, click Properties on the menu that appears, and then click Certificates. A web page that is on a secure server will display the security information for the specific site in the Certificate information box.
